Founded in 1886, we are proud to be one of Vancouver’s oldest cultural societies - and home to the city’s longest-running social tradition, the St. Andrew’s Ball.

For over a century, Vancouverites have gathered under the banner of St. Andrew to celebrate with music, dancing, and good company.

What started in the early days of a newly rebuilt city has grown into a tradition that continues to this day, evolving with each new generation while keeping its spirit firmly intact.

From first-time ceilidh dancers to long-time Ball attendees, people come for many different reasons: the dancing, the music, the traditions, or simply the chance to spend an evening among friends old and new.
